Terms & Conditions
1. Service and eligibility
JohnnyLab Business Connect (“JohnnyLab”) is a free international business networking, communication and discussion platform. Visitors may browse public content. Member participation requires Google Sign-In, an 18+ declaration, acceptance of these Terms and the Community Rules, and acknowledgement of the Privacy Notice.
JohnnyLab facilitates introductions and discussions. It is not a marketplace, payment processor, transaction intermediary or guarantor. It does not process payments or collect commissions on member transactions. JohnnyLab is not a party to members’ negotiations, agreements, payments or transactions.
2. Member responsibility
Members are responsible for their profiles, posts, comments, messages, representations, due diligence, negotiations, agreements, payments and transactions. JohnnyLab does not verify or guarantee a member’s identity, reliability, qualifications, authority, offers, goods, services, commercial performance or outcome. Members should independently verify counterparties before sharing confidential information, paying money or making commitments.
3. Accounts and consent
You must use a Google account you are authorized to use, provide accurate information, protect access and not impersonate others or evade restrictions. Acceptance evidence includes the authenticated member ID, time, action and document versions. Material changes may require renewed acceptance before member functions are available.
4. Content and messages
You remain responsible for content you submit and confirm you have the necessary rights. You grant the responsible operator a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, format and display that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, moderate and promote the service, administer reports and comply with law. Private Message permits one initial enquiry until the recipient replies; it must not be used for spam, harassment, unlawful solicitation or evading restrictions.
5. Prohibited conduct and moderation
Fraud, scams, impersonation, deceptive claims, spam, harassment, threats, hate or discriminatory abuse, unlawful or infringing content, malware, scraping, unauthorized access, improper personal-data collection and manipulation of platform controls are prohibited. Authorized administrators may review reports and relevant evidence, limit visibility, remove content, restrict messaging, suspend or close accounts, preserve evidence and refer urgent threats where reasonably necessary. Ordinary Home posts remain immediately publishable; Discovery topic creation remains subject to its existing administrator controls.
6. Availability, disclaimers and liability
The service is provided on an “as available” basis. Continuous, secure or error-free availability and successful business opportunities are not guaranteed. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the responsible operator is not liable for member conduct, independent member arrangements, indirect or consequential loss, lost profit or loss caused by reliance on member content. Nothing excludes or restricts liability, remedies, consumer rights or data-protection rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
7. Member indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, a member will indemnify the responsible operator against third-party claims and reasonable losses arising from that member’s unlawful content, breach of these Terms or infringement of another person’s rights. This does not cover the operator’s own negligence, wilful misconduct or liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
8. Account deletion
A signed-in member may request deletion through Account & Data. The request has a seven-day cancellation period. After that period, deletion is processed with a target completion deadline no later than 30 days after cancellation expires, subject to permitted legal holds. A minimal independent deletion ledger is retained for 400 days to prevent an older database backup from restoring a deleted account.
9. Malaysian law and complaints
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, subject to mandatory laws and rights that apply. Before court proceedings, a party should send a written complaint to [email protected] and allow 30 days for good-faith resolution. Unresolved proceedings may be brought before the courts of Malaysia that have jurisdiction under applicable law. This does not prevent urgent interim relief, regulatory complaints or non-waivable rights.

Privacy Notice
1. Scope and controller

2. Data and sources
Depending on use, JohnnyLab processes Google-linked identifiers and basic sign-in details; profile information and public visibility settings; posts, comments, replies and reactions; saved members, search, matching and Discovery activity; private messages and notifications; reports, blocks and moderation decisions; uploaded images and storage metadata; deletion and data-request records; policy versions, acceptance actions, time and 18+ declaration; and limited request, device, security and technical logs. Data comes from members, Google Sign-In, interactions or reports by other members, and service requests. JohnnyLab does not ask for identity-card or passport copies and does not process transaction payments.
3. Purposes and required data
Data is used to authenticate members; provide profiles, discussions, matching, Discovery, messages and notifications; record consent; secure and operate the service; prevent abuse; investigate reports; moderate content; answer requests; maintain reliability; establish or defend legal claims; and comply with law. Google identifiers, the 18+ declaration, acceptance evidence and session/security data are required for member participation. Without them, a person may browse public content but cannot use member-only functions. Information is processed only as needed to provide the features a member chooses, administer account and consent records, protect the community, respond to requests and meet applicable legal obligations. Registration requires the two confirmations shown in the registration form.
4. Public, private, access and disclosure
Public profiles, posts and comments may be viewed, copied or shared by others. Private messages are not public; authorized personnel may access them only where reasonably necessary for a report, security incident, legal obligation or technical support under access controls. Google supports authentication and Cloudflare supports hosting, security, D1 database, backups and private R2 object storage. Data is not sold. It may be disclosed where required by law, to protect people or the service, or in a properly governed transfer of the service.
5. Overseas processing
Google Sign-In is used for authentication. Cloudflare provides website hosting and security, the D1 database, R2 object storage for uploaded media, and the configured backup service. These providers may process data outside Malaysia. Processing locations can depend on the provider, service and configuration; JohnnyLab does not claim a particular location or that a specific transfer safeguard applies. Provider processing is also subject to the terms and privacy information published by Google and Cloudflare.
6. Retention and deletion
Active data is kept while needed to provide and secure the account. A deletion request may be cancelled for seven days and has a target completion deadline no later than 30 days after that period. The independent deletion ledger is retained for 400 days and is used to reapply deletion after restoration of an older backup. Protected daily backups are retained for 35 days and protected monthly backups for 365 days. Exceptional security, moderation, complaint or legal-claim evidence may be retained for up to 730 days where justified, and longer only where a documented legal hold or legal obligation requires it. Public access and active account data are removed or de-identified after deletion, subject to these limited retained records and normal backup expiry.
7. Security
JohnnyLab uses authenticated sessions, account-scoped authorization, access controls, private object storage, encrypted secrets, validation and rate limits. No system is completely secure. Suspected incidents will be assessed under applicable Malaysian breach-notification requirements. 8. Choices, rights and complaints
Members can update profile information and request export or deletion through Account & Data. Contact support to request access, correction, withdrawal of consent where applicable, limitation, prevention of direct marketing, or information about processing. Reasonable identity verification may be required. Complaints may also be made to the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Commissioner where applicable. Material policy changes will be dated and renewed acceptance requested where legally appropriate.
Community Rules
- Be genuine. No fraud, scams, impersonation, deceptive identities or misleading claims.
- Be respectful. No harassment, threats, hate, discrimination, sexual exploitation, doxxing or intimidation.
- Post lawfully. No illegal goods or services, malware, infringement, deceptive investment claims or schemes intended to steal money, credentials or data.
- Respect privacy and rights. Do not publish another person’s personal, confidential or protected material without authority.
- Do not spam. No bulk unsolicited content, repetitive promotion, scraping or manipulation of matching, ranking, reactions or reports.
- Use Message responsibly. Only one initial enquiry may be sent until the recipient replies. Do not evade blocks, suspensions or limits.
- Use business judgement. JohnnyLab does not verify members or guarantee offers or outcomes; perform your own due diligence.
- Report concerns honestly. Use reporting tools or contact support; knowingly false or abusive reports are prohibited.
- Enforcement. Content may be limited or removed and accounts restricted, suspended or closed based on context, severity, repetition, risk and law.
These Rules form part of the Terms. Normal Home posts publish immediately; these Rules do not create administrator preapproval. Discovery topic publishing retains its existing administrator-only control.
